Hey everyone, thanks for attending my classes at the Kelbyone Travel Photography Conference. Since many of you ask about the gear that I mentioned during my classes I put together this gear guide of all the gear that I use/mentioned to make it easier for you to have it all in one place.

SHOOTING AND PROCESSING HDRS AND PANOS

During this class I talked about a Nodal Ninja head for your tripod to shoot better panos.

This allows you to mount your DSLR/Mirrorless vertically and rotate based on the position of the lens not the body. It also gives you the precise amount of overlap needed for your panos.

If your tripod is too big to travel or walk with then you're more likely not to bring it. I highly recommend getting a lightweight smaller tripod just for travel. At the end of the day the job of a tripod is to stabilize your camera. This is a good one, check it out here.

Platypod is AWESOME for those "tripod not allowed" situations AND for getting down low and getting different perspectives. This kit comes with everything you need not only for your DSLR/Mirrorless, but also for your smartphone. I never travel without my Platypod. You can check it out here.

DOING A TOTAL MOBILE TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKFLOW

During this class I mentioned two backup drives designed specifically for traveling photographers.

The DJI Copilot BOSS comes in a 2TB capacity and you can check it out here.

The other drive that I mentioned was the WD My Passport Wireless. It's an SSD and I have the 1TB version. You can check it out here.

This is the USB-C hub that I use connected to my iPad Pro. It features both an SD and Micro SD card reader not to mention HDMI out for doing slideshows from your iPad Pro. You can check it out here.

This is the card reader I use to directly import SD cards to my iPhone (or older iPads) directly into Lightroom. You can check it out here.

GETTING SUPER SHARP TRAVEL PHOTOS

Download it here, print it out and then shoot it at everything from f/5.6 to f/11 to find your lens sweet sport.

In this class I mentioned the importance of using a tripod even for your mobile shots. Here are a couple that I really love.

First up is the Arkon 11" Tripod with flexible/bendable legs that can wrap around objects. Your smartphone can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. You can check it out here.

Although I didn't get a chance to show it in my class, my new FAVORITE accessory for mobile photography is the Pocket Tripod Pro. I love this one most because it folds flat down to the size of a credit card and fits in my wallet. You can check it out here.

During my class I mentioned a tip where you can use your Apple Watch to remotely fire the shutter of your iPhone in the Camera app. That's great if you have an Apple Watch and an iPhone. What if you don't have an Apple Watch or you have an Android device. The next best thing is to use a Bluetooth trigger. Check this one out here.
